My Strange and Twisted Journey into the Supernatural
Updated: Aug 9
Hey, beautiful souls. It’s Demetri Welsh, here to rip the veil off some of the wild shit that shaped my journey into the metaphysical world. Buckle up, because we’re diving into how I discovered my gifts and learned to wield them like the badass mystic I am today.
The Early Signs: Freaky Shit from the Start
Ever since I can remember, I knew I was different. While other kids were busy playing with toys, I was having full-blown conversations with… well, let’s just call them “invisible friends.” I was around four when I realized not everyone could see or hear what I could. My “friends” would tell me things, warn me about events, and sometimes even comfort me when the world felt like it was closing in. It was fucking eerie, but it was also kind of amazing.
I remember this one time when I was about six. I was at a birthday party, and I had this overwhelming feeling that something bad was about to happen. I tried to tell the adults, but of course, they brushed me off. Not ten minutes later, the birthday boy falls off a trampoline and breaks his arm. Coincidence? Maybe. But this shit kept happening. I’d get these gut feelings, these flashes of insight, and they were almost always spot-on.
The Breakthrough: Embracing the Weird
Fast forward to my pre-teen years, and things started to get really intense. I began seeing auras around people—colors that hinted at their emotions, their health, even their secrets. Imagine sitting in class and seeing your teacher’s aura flicker with anxiety because her marriage is falling apart, or your friend’s aura dim with sadness because they’re being bullied. Heavy, right?
The most mind-blowing experience was when I was twelve. I had this recurring dream about a woman I’d never met. She was trying to tell me something, but I could never quite hear her. One night, I woke up in a cold sweat, and there she was, standing at the foot of my bed. She told me her name, said she was my great-grandmother, and that I had inherited her gifts. She taught me to meditate, to listen, and to trust what I saw and felt.
The Dark Times: Confronting the Shadows
Being gifted isn’t all rainbows and enlightenment. There were dark times, too. High school was a fucking nightmare. I was the weird kid, the one who talked to spirits and saw things others couldn’t. I felt like an outcast, and it took a toll on me. But it was also during these dark times that my abilities grew stronger. Pain, fear, and loneliness can be powerful catalysts for transformation.
One night, feeling utterly lost, I tried to suppress my gifts. I just wanted to be normal, to fit in. But then, I had a vision—a vivid, gut-wrenching image of my best friend getting into a car accident. I was terrified, but I knew I couldn’t ignore it. I begged him not to drive that night, and thank fuck he listened. The next morning, we found out there had been a massive pile-up on the very road he would have taken. That was the moment I knew I could never turn my back on who I was.
Learning and Growing: Mastering My Craft
With time, I found mentors—people who saw my potential and helped me hone my skills. I learned to read tarot, to channel energy, to heal. Each practice, each ritual, was like unlocking a new level of understanding and power. Meditation became my sanctuary, a way to tune out the noise and tune into the divine.
One of my most profound experiences happened during a meditation session. I was twenty-one, seeking answers about my purpose. As I sank deeper into my trance, I felt a surge of energy, a connection to something greater than myself. Visions of past lives flashed before my eyes, lifetimes where I had been a healer, a seer, a guide. It was a fucking revelation. I understood that my journey wasn’t just about me; it was about continuing a legacy, fulfilling a destiny.
The Now: Living My Truth
Today, I stand before you as a proud psychic reader, energy worker, musician, and author. I’ve embraced my gifts and woven them into every aspect of my life. My music channels the energy of the universe, my books share the wisdom of my journey, and my readings and energy work help others find their own path.
I’ve come a long way from that scared kid talking to invisible friends. I’ve faced my demons, embraced my shadows, and emerged stronger. I’m here to tell you that being different isn’t a curse; it’s a fucking blessing. Your unique gifts, no matter how strange or unsettling, are what make you powerful. Embrace them, nurture them, and let them guide you to your true purpose.
Stay weird, stay wild, and keep shining your light. This is Demetri Welsh, reminding you that the universe speaks to us all—if we’re just brave enough to listen.
Peace, love, and fucking resilience.
