The Day I Met My Dark Mirror

Alright, buckle up, folks. This one’s gonna be a bit of a rollercoaster. Today was one of those days where the universe just threw everything at me, like it’s testing to see how much I can handle. And trust me, I’ve handled a lot in my life. But today, something unexpected happened, and it got me thinking about the power of darkness and the strength that comes from facing it head-on.

I woke up to the sound of my eight dogs barking like there was an apocalypse happening right outside our front door. Now, I love my fur babies, but when you’ve got eight of them and they’re all losing their shit at the same time, it’s like trying to calm a storm with a whisper. Anthony, my amazing husband, was already downstairs trying to settle them down. I swear, he’s got the patience of a saint, and that’s saying something when you’re married to me.

After we got the dogs settled, I decided to dive into my morning routine. You know, the usual—meditation, coffee, and checking emails from clients. I had a few readings lined up for the day, and I was feeling pretty good about it. But there was one email that caught my eye. The subject line read: “URGENT: I think I’m cursed.”

Now, normally, I get a lot of these kinds of emails. People thinking they’re cursed because their ex won’t text back or they lost their job. But this one felt different. The energy around it was heavy, like someone had wrapped it in a cloak of shadows. I couldn’t ignore it. So, I opened it.

The email was from a woman named Rachel, who had been experiencing a string of bad luck ever since she moved into a new house. We’re talking dead animals showing up on her doorstep, strange noises in the middle of the night, and a sense of dread that followed her everywhere she went. She was convinced that something was targeting her, and honestly, from what she described, I believed her.

I decided to take her on for a reading, even though I knew it was gonna be intense. I set up my space, lit some protective candles, and called on my guides for help. I always start my readings with a quick protection ritual. You can never be too careful, especially when dealing with dark energy. And man, did this one feel dark.

As soon as I connected with Rachel’s energy, I felt a cold rush wash over me, like someone had opened a window to the void. I saw flashes of her house, a tall, imposing structure with a history of pain etched into its walls. There was something there, lurking in the shadows, feeding off her fear.

I asked her to tell me more about the house, and she mentioned that she had found an old mirror in the attic when she first moved in. My gut twisted. Mirrors are portals, and if you’re not careful, they can bring in all sorts of nasty shit from the other side.

I guided Rachel through a cleansing ritual, but I knew it wasn’t gonna be enough. This thing was attached to her now, feeding on her energy. I told her to get rid of the mirror, smash it into pieces, and bury it far away from the house. She was scared, but she agreed.

After the reading, I couldn’t shake the feeling of dread that had seeped into my bones. I went outside to clear my head and found Anthony working in the garden, completely oblivious to the chaos that had just unfolded inside. He looked up and saw the look on my face and just knew. Without saying a word, he walked over and pulled me into a hug. And just like that, the tension started to melt away.

Later, as we sat on the porch with the dogs lying at our feet, I thought about how lucky I am to have this life. It’s not perfect, but it’s mine, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I’ve seen some dark shit in my time—hell, I’ve lived through more than most people could handle—but I’ve also seen the light that comes from pushing through the darkness.

And that’s the lesson for today, my friends. Life is gonna throw some messed up stuff your way. You’re gonna face things that make you question everything you thought you knew. But it’s in those moments, when you’re staring into the abyss, that you find out what you’re really made of. Don’t run from the darkness. Meet it head-on, and you might just find your own light shining brighter than ever before.

Until next time, keep your candles lit and your spirits high.
